Stonehouse Road home suffers water, smoke damage in attic fire

Wednesday, Aug. 5, 2015, 9:35 a.m.– The Nelson County Fire Department responded Tuesday night at 8:56 p.m. for a possible attic fire at a home in the 1500 block of Stonehouse Road. The first firefighter on the scene reported visible smoke and flames in the attic area. Firefighters had the fire under control at 9:16 p.m. Crews remained on the scene for nearly two hours assisting with salvage operations. A Nelson County EMS ambulance was also at the scene on standby if needed.
