E’town man dies in single-car crash Wednesday on Wilson Creek Rd.

Wednesday, Aug. 5, 2015, 10 p.m. — An Elizabethtown town man died in a single-vehicle accident Wednesday evening on Wilson Creek Road about half a mile from its intersection with Boston Road, U.S. 62. At 5:13 p.m., Nelson County EMS, police and the Boston Fire Department were called for an injury accident with entrapment. According to police, a 1998 Ford Mustang driven by Cody Thompson, 21, of Elizabethtown, left the road and hit several trees. A medical helicopter was requested to respond, but the victim  died while being extricated by first-responders. The county coroner and a chaplain were requested to respond to the scene.
