Obituary: Cody Michael Thompson, 21, Elizabethtown
Cody Michael Thompson, 21, of Elizabethtown, died Wednesday, Aug. 5, 2015. He was an employee of FM Sylvan, where he worked as a welder. He was a member of the Street Influence Car Club 
and the Local 502 Welders Union. He was a 2012 graduate of Nelson County High School.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Dudley and Jenny Thompson.
Survivors include his parents, Mike Thompson (Audrey) and Kelly Wheeler (Thomas); one sister, Brittany Curtsinger (Joey); three stepsisters, Candice Hodges, Kristy Kole and Barbie Ryan; two stepbrothers, Tommy Wheeler and John Ryan; his grandparents, Vince and Barbara Leo; his great-grandfather, Vincent Leo, Sr.; his aunt and uncle, Michael and Jennifer Leo; three nephews, Layne Curtsinger, Fintan Hodges and Jayden Ryan; three nieces, Maddie Curtsinger, Riley Curtsinger and Hailey Ryan; his girlfriend, Sumer Newton and her parents, Mr and Mrs. Thomas Newton; and numerous other family members and friends.
The funeral is 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 9, 2015, at the Kappel Funeral Home in Boston with burial to follow in Little Brick Cemetery.
Visitation is 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 8, 2015, and after 9 a.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
The Kappel Funeral Home in Boston is in charge of the arrangements.
