Nelson Circuit Court Indictments – Aug. 5, 2015

indictmentMonday, Aug. 10, 2015 – The following people were indicted by a Nelson County grand jury on Wednesday, Aug. 5, 2015. They are scheduled for arraignment Thursday, Aug. 20, 2015, unless otherwise indicated.

15-CR-0205. SHAQUILLE JORDAN, 21, Hodgenville, wanton endangerment, first-degree; assault, fourth-degree; resisting arrest.

According to the indictment, on o.June 12, 2015, Jordan allegedly operated a motor vehicle in a reckless manner causing a substantial danger of death or injury to a minor child; and on July 6, 2015, he allegedly operated a motor vehicle in a reckless manner causing a substantial danger of death or injury to an adult whom he also assaulted. He also allegedly resisted being arrested by a Nelson County deputy sheriff. Bail was set at $20,000 cash only, plus conditions.

15-CR-206. JAMES M. GILPIN, 33, New Haven, complicity to theft of another person’s identity without consent; complicity to theft by unlawful taking or disposition, shoplifting under $500; and persistent felony offender, second-degree.

According to the indictment, on March 27, 2015, Gilpin — acting alone or in concert with an unknown female and Shanna Downs — used another person’s driver’s license to obtain property he was not entitled to have and unlawfully took merchandise belonging to Wal-Mart. The indictment cite’s Gilpin’s prior felony conviction as basis for the persistent felony offender charge. Bail was set at $20,000 cash only, plus conditions.

15-CR-207. ADARIAN L. ROGAN, 39, Nashville, Tenn., flagrant non-support.

According to the indictment, from Nov. 1, 2010 through June 30, 2015, Rogan allegedly failed to provide support he was ordered to pay, resulting in an arrearage of $13,563.84. Bail was set at $5,000 cash only, plus conditions.

15-CR-208. SHANNA M. DOWNS, 26, New Haven, complicity to theft of another person’s identity without consent; complicity to theft by unlawful taking or disposition, shoplifting under $500.

According to the indictment, on March 27, 2015, Downs — acting alone or in concert with an unknown female and James Gilpin — assisted an unknown female in the use of another person’s driver’s license to obtain property she was not entitled to have and unlawfully took merchandise belonging to Wal-Mart. Bail was set at $9,500 cash only, plus conditions.

15-CR-209. TRAVIS BRYAN, 39, New Haven, assault, second-degree.

According to the indictment, on Feb. 2, 2014, Bryan allegedly grabbed another person by the neck and throwing him over a porch railing and breaking his arm. Bail was set at $9,500 cash only, plus conditions.

15-CR-210. CRYSTAL J. MONROE, 40, Chaplin, complicity to possession of controlled substances, first-degree (methamphetamine); complicity to possession of drug paraphernalia.

According to the indictment, on May 28, 2015, Monroe — acting alone or in concert with Johnathan W. Monday — allegedly possessed methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. Bail was set at $9,500 cash only, plus conditions.

15-CR-211. THOMAS A. MYERS, 31, Culloden, West Va., robbery, second-degree; assault, fourth-degree.

According to the indictment, on June 6, 2015, Myers allegedly used physical force against a loss prevention officer while committing a theft at Wal-Mart. Bail was set at $20,000 cash only, plus conditions.

15-CR-212. JOHNATHAN W. MONDAY, 24, Chaplin, complicity to possession of controlled substances, first-degree (methamphetamine); complicity to possession of drug paraphernalia.

According to the indictment, on May 28, 2015, Monday — acting alone or in concert with Crystal J. Monroe — allegedly possessed methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. Bail was set at $9,500 cash only, plus conditions.

15-CR-213. JOSEPH TIPTON, 37, Bardstown, robbery, second-degree.

According to the indictment, on June 2, 2015, Tipton allegedly threatened to use physical force while committing a theft at Kroger. Bail was set at $20,000 cash only, plus conditions.

15-CR-214. DAVID LEA COX, JR., 27, Bardstown, unlawful access to a computer, first-degree; fraudulent use of a credit card under $500;

According to the indictment, on June 9, 2015, Cox allegedly accessed a network without permission and unlawfully used a credit card without authorization. Bail was set at $5,000 cash only, plus conditions.
