Obituary: Sueanna Hood, 95, Chaplin

SUEANNA HOOD

Sueanna Hood, 95, of Chaplin, died Tuesday, Aug. 11, 2015, at Life Care Center of Bardstown. She was the former Sueanna Trent, born Feb. 10, 1920, in Washington County to the late Sherman and Nancy Jane Goodlett Trent. She was a homemaker and a member of the Willisburg Church of God.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Hood; one son, Charles W. “Woody” Hood; two sisters, Sarah Chesser and Bessie Prather; three brothers, J.W. Trent, Fred Trent and John Thomas Trent;l and one great-grandson, Brad Hood.

She is survived by her daughter, Marie (“Duck”) Hood of Willisburg; one son, Frank (Linda) Hood of Chaplin; one sister, Almedia Mitchell of Chaplin; a niece they raised, Judy (Roger) Burns of Chaplin; nine grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great grandchildren.

The funeral is 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 13, 2015, at the Houghlin Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Bro. Mark & Sherry Speakman officiating. Burial is in the Highview Cemetery at Chaplin.

Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2015, at the funeral home.

The Houghlin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
