Obituary: Clarence Jospeh ‘Joe’ Allen, 63, Hodgenville

Clarence Joseph “Joe” Allen, 63, of Hodgenville, formerly of Louisville, died Tuesday, Aug. 11, 2015, at his home in Hodgenville. He was born Sept. 28, 1951, in Louisville to the late Clarence R. and Cora E. Brewer Allen. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and retired from Naval Ordnance with 25 years of service. He attended Otter Creek Separate Baptist Church in LaRue County.

funeral_flowerHe was preceded in death by one sister, Wanda Allen Walker.

Survivors include one son, Joseph Lee (Elizabeth Ann) Allen of Louisville; two daughters, Rhonda (James) Ray of LaGrange and Toni Jo Ashmore of Louisville; four sisters, Martha (Bud) Farmer, Virginia Basham and Marietta (Harry) Cooper, all of Louisville, and Gracie (William) Underwood of Hodgenville; three brothers, Wallace (Marilyn) Allen of Buffalo, Robert (Becky) Allen and Tommy Allen, both of Louisville; a special nephew and caregiver, Arthur “Art” Allen of Hodgenville; and six grandchildren.

Graveside services are 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 18, 2015, at the Kentucky Veteran’s Cemetery Central in Radcliff with Bro. Jim Mason officiating. Burial is in the Kentucky Veteran’s Cemetery Central Columbarium Wall in Radcliff.

The William R. Rust Funeral Home Hodgenville Chapel, 612 N. Lincoln Blvd, Hodgenville, is in charge of the arrangements.
