MARY JUDITH BROWN, SL
Mary Judith Brown SL, 92, of Nerinx, died Tuesday, Aug, 4, 2015, at the Loretto Motherhouse Infirmary. She was born Oct. 30, 1922, in Elwood, Ind. to the late Harold Edwin and Marie Agnes Harris Brown. She entered religious life in 1943 and received her final vows in 1949. She earned her degree in sociology from A. B. Loretto Heights College in Denver, Colo. in 1953 and her master’s degree from Creighton University in Omaha, Neb. in 1963. Her assignments and ministries were located in Colorado, Wyoming and New Mexico.
She bequeathed her body to the University Of Louisville Medical School. A Memorial Mass is 10 a.m. Monday. Aug. 17, 2015, at the Loretto Motherhouse Church, 515 Nerinx Road, Nerinx.
A memorial wake service is 6:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 16, 2015, at the Loretto Motherhouse.
The Mattingly Funeral Home in Loretto is in charge of the arrangements.
