Radio club meeting to discuss Bourbon Festival on-air event

Sunday, Aug. 16, 2015 — The Bardstown-based Kentucky Amateur Radio Society (KARS) will hold its next meeting 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2015, at the main Nelson County EMS Station 1 on Buchanan 
Boulevard off Bloomfield Road. All amateur radio operators and anyone interested in learning about amateur radio is encouraged to attend.The topic for this meeting will be preparations for operation of special event station K4B at the Bourbon Festival between 15 and 20 September.
All amateur radio operators and anyone interested in learning about amateur radio is encouraged to attend. KARS conducts a general interest net on the Bardstown 2m repeater (frequency: 145.470, PL 151.4) each Sunday evening at 9pm local time. KARS has moved the Weather Training Net to Wednesday evening at 8:30pm local time on the same repeater. Licensed amateurs are encouraged to call in to both nets.
