CAROL LYNETTE GOWIN
Carol Lynette Gowin, 70, of Bardstown, died Tuesday, Aug. 18, 2015, at Windsor Gardens of Bardstown. She was born June 30, 1945, in Bardstown to the late Carl and Sarah Brown Summers. She was retired from the Nelson County Board of Education. She was a member of Bardstown Baptist Church where she was a member of the choir.
She is survived by one son, Michael (Kim) Gowin of Leitchfield; one sister, Debbie (Kelly) Baugh of Campbellsville; two brothers, Howard (Luann) Summers and Ellis Summers, both of Bardstown; and one granddaughter, Avery Gowin of Leitchfield.
The funeral is 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 21, 2015, at the Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home with burial in the Maple Grove Cemetery.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 20, 2015, and after 8:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
The Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home, 1475 New Shepherdsville Rd., is in charge of arrangements.
