Nelson Circuit Court Indictments, Aug. 19, 2015

indictmentThursday, Aug. 20, 2015 – The following people were indicted by a Nelson County grand jury on Wednesday, Aug. 19, 2015. They are scheduled for arraignment Thursday, Sept. 3, 2015, unless otherwise indicated.

15-CR-216. WILLIAM LARRY DAKOTA CURTSINGER, 21, Chaplin, possession of controlled substances, first-degree (heroin) and complicity to the same; possession of drug paraphernalia and complicity to the same;

According to the indictment, on June 23, 2015, Curtsinger — acting alone or in concert with Jordan Patrick Keeling — allegedly possessed heroin and drug paraphernalia. Bail was set at $5,000 cash only, plus conditions.

15-CR-218. JORDAN PATRICK KEELING, 22, Chaplin, possession of controlled substances, first-degree (heroin) and complicity to the same; complicity to possession of drug paraphernalia; tampering with physical evidence; possession of controlled substances, first-degree (drug unspecified).

According to the indictment, on June 23, 2015, Keeling — acting alone or in concert with William Larry Dakota Curtsinger — allegedly possessed heroin and drug paraphernalia. On the same day, Keeling also was also allegedly found in possession of hydrocodone, and threw away a cigarette box containing hydrocodone pills when he believed an official proceeding was pending. Bail was set at $5,000 cash only, plus conditions.

15-CR-219. JOSEPH A. SMITH JR., 37, Bardstown, possession of controlled substances, first-degree (drug unspecified) and complicity to the same; possession of drug paraphernalia and complicity to the same;

According to the indictment, on July 14, 2015, Smith — acting alone or in concert with Vincent D. Nethery and Cora M. Yearns — was allegedly found in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. Bail was set at $5,000 cash only, plus conditions.

15-CR-220. ETHAN H. HUFF, 25, New Haven, manufacturing methamphetamine; unlawful possession of methamphetamine precursors; possession of controlled substances (methamphetamine); possession of drug paraphernalia; persistent felony offender, second-degree.

According to the indictment, on May 14, 2015, Huff allegedly manufactured and possessed methamphetamine, possessed methamphetamine precursors with the intent to manufacture meth and possessed drug paraphernalia. The indictment cites Huff’s prior felony conviction as basis for the persistent felony offender charge. Bail was set at $25,000 cash only, plus conditions.

15-CR-221. CORA M. YEARNS, 38, Bardstown, possession of controlled substances, second-degree (drug unspecified) and complicity to the same; possession of drug paraphernalia and complicity to the same.

According to the indictment, on July 14, 2015, Yearns — acting alone or in concert with Joseph A. Smith Jr. and Vincent D. Nethery — was allegedly found in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. Bail was set at $5,000 cash only, plus conditions.

15-CR-222. EDGAR J. NORTON, JR., 49, Bloomfield, complicity to receiving stolen property; trafficking in controlled substances, first-degree (methamphetamine); cultivating marijuana, five plants or more; trafficking marijuana (less than 8 ounces); possession of marijuana; possession of drug paraphernalia.

According to the indictment, on June 22, 2015, Norton allegedly received, retained or disposed of a 2001 Ford Mustang knowing it was stolen having a value of $500 or more but less than $10,000. Norton also is allegedly to have cultivated five plants or more of marijuana with the intent to sell or transfer it, possessed methamphetamine with the intent to sell or transfer it, and possessed drug paraphernalia. Bail was set at $9,500 cash only, plus conditions.

15-CR-223. MONTE E. ANTHONY, 37, flagrant non-support; persistent felony offender, first-degree.

According to the indictment, between July 3, 2008 and March 31, 2015, Anthony allegedly failed to provide support he was ordered to pay, resulting in an arrearage of $17,679.46. The indictment cites Anthony’s prior felony convictions as basis for the persistent felony offender charge. Bail was set at $9,500 cash only, plus conditions.

15-CR-224. MARCI HOWARD, 54, Novato, Calif., theft by unlawful taking over $10,000.

According to the indictment, between Oct. 23, 2012 and April 1, 2015, Howard allegedly took money belonging to Kluger & Associates Inc., a medical management and billing company, totalling $55,285.71. Bail will be set at arraignment, plus conditions.

15-CR-225. Vincent D. Nethery, 22, Bardstown, possession of controlled substances, first-degree (drug unspecified) and complicity to the same; possession of drug paraphernalia and complicity to the same;

According to the indictment, on July 14, 2015, Nethery — acting alone or in concert with Joseph A. Smith Jr. and Cora M. Yearns — allegedly possessed methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. Bail was set at $5,000 cash only, plus conditions.

15-CR-226. JUSTIN D. CURTSINGER, 25, Cox’s Creek, flagrant non-support.

According to the indictment, from May 1, 2015 to Aug. 15, 2015, Curtsinger failed to provide support he was ordered to pay, resulting in an arrearage of $1,620. Bail was set at $5,000 cash only, plus conditions.

15-CR-227. RICHARD H. COX, JR., 48, Boston, flagrant non-support; persistent felony offender, second-degree;

According to the indictment, from Dec. 3, 2010 to Aug. 15, 2015, Cox allegedly failed to provide support he was ordered to pay, resulting in an arrearange of $14,383.62. The indictment cites Cox’s prior felony conviction as basis for the persistent felony offender charge. Bail was set at $9,500 cash only, plus conditions.

15-CR-228. ALEX M. ALLEN, 26, Shepherdsville, possession of controlled substances, first-degree (methamphetamine); possession of drug paraphernalia.

According to the indictment, on June 23, 2015, was found in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. Bail was set at $5,000 cash only, plus conditions.

15-CR-229. WILLIAM K. CASEY, 28, Shepherdsville, wanton endangerment, first-degree (police officer); fleeting and evading police, first-degree (motor vehicle); possession of controlled substances, first-degree (methamphetamine); persistent felony offender, first-degree.

According to the indictment, on June 23, 2015, Casey allegedly struck Deputy Jerry Hardin’s police cruiser with a motor vehicle while fleeing police and in possession of methamphetamine. The indictment cites Casey’s prior felony convictions as basis for the persistent felony offender charge. Bail was set at $25,000 cash only, plus conditions.

15-CR-230. JAMES L. NALLEY, JR., 53, New Haven, forgery, second-degree.

According to the indictment on Feb. 9, 2015, Nalley allegedly altered a check on the account of another person with the intent to defraud or deceive. Bail was set at $5,000 cash only, plus conditions.

15-CR-231. BRANDON W. BROOKS, 23, Shepherdsville, tampering with physical evidence; possession of drug paraphernalia.

According to the indictment on April 19, 2015, Brooks allegedly attempted to conceal a syringe with an unknown substance when believing an official proceeding is pending while in possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail was set at $5,000 cash only, plus conditions.

15-CR-232. JAMES W. GIRDLEY JR., 30, Bardstown, possession of controlled substances, first-degree (methamphetamine); tampering with physical evidence; possession of drug paraphernalia.

According to the indictment, on July 15, 2015, Girdley allegedly possessed methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia, and when he believed an official proceeded was pending, he dropped a container with a white powdery substance in an attempt to impair its availability. Bail was set at $5,000 cash only, plus conditions.

15-CR-233. LAVON N. MOODY, 23, Bloomfield, wanton endangerment, first-degree (4 counts); theft by unlawful taking or disposition-auto, $500 or more but under $10,000; terroristic threatening, third-degree; menacing.

According to the indictment, on Aug. 2, 2015, Moody allegedly fire shots in the direct of four individuals causing a serious danger of death or serious physical injury; unlawfully took a 2008 Ford belonging to another person; and threatened and acted disorderly toward another person. Bail was set at $25,000 cash only, plus conditions.

15-CR-234. MATTHEW SCOTT KRIEGER, 27, Bardstown, forgery, second-degree.

According to the indictment, between Sept. 3 and Sept. 5, 2014, Krieger allegedly altered a check on the account of another person with the intent to defraud or deceive. Bail was set at $5,000 cash only, plus conditions.

15-CR-235. LASHANN TONGE, 25, Bardstown, possession of controlled substance, first-degree (drug unspecified).

According to the indictment, on July 23, 2015, Tonge allegedly was found in possession of acetaminophen with codeine No. 2. Bail was set at $5,000 cash only, plus conditions.

15-CR-236. GARRY W. MCCLAIN, 62, Bardstown, possession of controlled substances, first-degree (methamphetamine); possession of controlled substances, first-degree (drug unspecified); possession of drug paraphernalia; failure to or improper signal.

According to the indictment, on Aug. 2, 2015, McClain allegedly possessed methamphetamine, Xanax and drug paraphernalia. The indictment also alleges McClain failed to give a turn signal while operating his motor vehicle. Bail was set at $5,000 cash only, plus conditions.

15-CR-237. ASHLEY N. RAMSEY, 31, Bardstown, possession of controlled substances, first-degree (cocaine); possession of controlled substances, first-degree (drug unspecified); possession of marijuana; possession of drug paraphernalia.

According to the indictment, on June 3, 2015, Ramsey allegedly was found in possession of cocaine, suboxone, marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Bail was set at $5,000 cash only, plus conditions.

15-CR-238. JAMES M. CROWE, Ill, 19, Bardstown, sexual abuse, first-degree;

According to the indictment, on April 8, 2015, Crowe allegedly engaged in sexual contact with another person by use of forcible compulsion. Bail was set at $9,500 cash only, plus conditions.
