Obituary: Geraldine Sherburne Jackson, 90, Bardstown

Geraldine Sherburne Jackson, 90, of Bardstown, died Friday, Aug. 28, 2015, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville. She was born Jan. 12, 1925, in Coldwater, Mich. She was a retired plant secretary for NuKote (formerly Burroughs Corporation) of Bardstown. She was a member of the Daughters funeral_doveof the American Revolution and a member of the Church of Christ/ She enjoyed cooking, gardening, cross stitching, knitting and crocheting.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Virgil and Kate Sherburne; two sisters, Carol Odette and Marian Zang; an infant brother, Virgil “Junior” Sherburne; and one son, Phillip Campbell.

She is survived by her husband of 50 years, John Walter Jackson of Bardstown; four daughters, Nancy (Philip) Milburn of Chaplin, Anne (Terry) Noble of Bellevue, Mich., Rebecca Campbell Morton of Grand Rapids, Mich., and Lisa Jackson Clark of Bardstown;
one sister, Mary Jo (Carl) Cordell of Chelsea, Mich.; 14 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 3, 2015, at Barlow Funeral Home with burial in the Bardstown Cemetery. Bro. Bruce Nichols will officiate.

Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2015, and 9-11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 3, 2015, at the funeral home.

The Barlow Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
