Obituary: Mary Ruth Taylor, 88, Bardstown
Mary Ruth Taylor, 88, of Bardstown, died Monday, Aug. 31, 2015, at Flaget Memorial Hospital. She was the former Mary Ruth Thurman, born Oct. 2, 1926, in Nelson County to the late Pious Ed and Katherine Ann Powers Thurman. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Gregory Catholic Church.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Benny Lyvers, her second husband, Arthur Taylor, and a son, Tommy Lyvers.
She is survived by two daughters, Shirley Heath of Bloomfield and Gail Lyvers of Shepherdsville; three sons, Danny (Monirae) Lyvers, Larry (Theresa) Lyvers and Phillip (Mary Ann) Lyvers, all of Bardstown; one sister, Doris Stallings of Cox’s Creek; 13 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The funeral is 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 3, 2015, at the Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home, 1475 New Shepherdsville Road. Bro. Brad Woods will officiate. Burial is in the St. Gregory Cemetery.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Wednesday the funeral home.
The Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
