Nelson Circuit Court Indictments, Sept. 2, 2015

Editor’s Note: The indictment of a person by a grand jury or otherwise is an accusation only and that person is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

indictmentMonday, Sept. 8, 2015 – The following people were indicted by a Nelson County grand jury on Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2015. They are scheduled for arraignment Thursday, Sept. 17, 2015, unless otherwise indicated.

15-CR-239. BRITTANY M. KIMBALL, 27, Chaplin, trafficking in controlled substances, first-degree(less than 2 grams methamphetamine) and complicity to the same; trafficking in controlled substances within 1,000 feet of a school; possession of drug paraphernalia and complicity to the same.

According to the indictment, on May 26, 2015, Kimball allegedly sold less than 2 grams methamphetamine to a confidential informant within 1,000 feet of a school while in possession of drug paraphernalia. The indictment further alleges Kimball – acting alone or in concert with Anthony Scrogham – sold less than 2 grams of methamphetamine to a confidential informant while in possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail was set at $20,000 cash only, plus conditions.

15-CR-240. JAMES D. HODGE, 39, Bardstown, failure to comply with sex offender registry; sex offender IM/chat/social network use.

According to the indictment, between Jan. 1-April 2, 2015, Hodge allegedly failed to comply with the sex offender registry by using the identity of “Dumes Hudge” on Facebook and failing to register that identity with probation and parole office. Bail was set at $9,500 cash only, plus conditions.

15-CR-241. RONALD P. RIGGS, 52, Bardstown, manufacturing methamphetamine, first-degree; possession of precursors with the intent to manufacture methamphetamine; possession of a prescription not in property container; possession of drug paraphernalia; possession of legend drugs.

According to the indictment, on Aug. 4, 2015, Riggs allegedly manufactured methamphetamine while in possession of methamphetamine precursors, drug paraphernalia, a prescription not in its proper container, while in possession of Skelaxin. Bail was set at $50,000 cash only, plus conditions.

15-CR-242. AIMEE REBECCA WATSON, 43, Bardstown, unlawful access to a computer, first-degree (45 counts); knowingly exploiting an adult over $300 by another person; tampering with physical evidence; theft by unlawful taking; theft or receipt of a stolen credit or debit card.

According to the indictment, between July 14-Aug. 11, 2015, Watson allegedly exploited an adult by taking more than $500 but less than $10,000 by unlawfully accessing a computer system to obtain more than $1,988.59 under fraudulent pretenses without the individual’s permission. When she believed an official was pending, she destroyed the card by burning it to impair its availability. Bail was set at $9,500 cash only, plus conditions.

15-CR-243.  ANNA S. CASTLEMAN, 23, Bardstown, trafficking in controlled substances, first-degree (2 or fewer grams of methamphetamine); complicity to possession of drug paraphernalia; and complicity to possession of marijuana.

According to the indictment, on July 20, 2015, Castleman allegedly possessed two or more grams of methamphetamine with the intent to sell or transfer it. The indictment further alleges that on the same day, Castleman – acting alone or in concert with Shelby M Centers – possessed drug marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Bail was set at $9,500 cash only, plus condition.

15-CR-244. KIMBERLY A. GILPIN, 25, New Haven, trafficking in controlled substances, first-degree (less than 2 grams methamphetamine; possession of controlled substances, first-degree (methamphetamine; possession of marijuana; possession of drug paraphernalia; endangering the welfare of a minor.

According to the indictment, on July 27, 2015, Gilpin  possessed less than 2 grams of methamphetamine with the intent to sell or transfer it; while in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. The indictment further alleges Gilpin failed to exercise reasonable diligence to prevent a child from becoming neglected. Bail was set at $9,500 cash only, plus conditions.

15-CR-245. ADAM P. CLEMENTS, 31, Bloomfield, cultivating marijuana (5 plants or more); trafficking in controlled substances within 1,000 feet of a school; possession of drug paraphernalia; possession of marijuana.

According to the indictment, on June 30, 2015, Clements allegedly cultivated five or more marijuana plants with the intent to sell or transfer it within 1,000 feet of Bloomfield Middle School while in possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail was set at $9,500 cash only, plus conditions.

15-CR-247. ANGEL L. SMITH, 43, Bardstown; trafficking in controlled substances, second-degree (fewer than 20 drug units of an unspecified drug) (2 counts); possession of drug paraphernalia (2 counts).

According to the indictment, on Dec, 3, 2015 and Dec. 15, 2015, Smith allegedly sold fewer than 20 drug units of Suboxone to a confidential information while in possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail was set at $9,500.

CR-15-250.  EDGAR J. NORTON, Ill, 28, Bloomfield, complicity to receiving stolen property; persistent felony offender, first-degree.

According to the indictment on June 22,2 015, Norton – acting alone or in concert with Edgard J. Norton Jr. – alleged received, retained or disposed of a 2014 Ford Mustang with a value of more than $500 but less than $10,000, knowing it was stolen. The indictment cites Norton’s previous felony convictions as basis for the persistent felony offender charge. Bail was set at $50,000 cash only, plus conditions.

15-CR-251. ANCIL L. WATSON, 49 Bardstown, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon (2 counts); possession of a firearm by a convicted felon (5 counts); trafficking in marijuana (less than 8 ounces); possession of marijuana; possession of drug paraphernalia.

According to the indictment, on July 29, 2015, Watson was allegedly found in possession of a Ruger Mark II .22 semi-automatic pistol; a GSG 1911 .22 semi-automatic pistol; a Marlin 100G semi-automatic .22 rifle; a Russian bolt-action rifle; a Marlin 60 semi-automatic .22 rifle; an Itacha double-action .22 rifle; a Winchester 30-30 rifle; drug paraphernalia; and less than 8 ounces of marijuana with the intent to sell it. Bail was set at $9,500 cash only, plus conditions.

15-CR-252. DANIEL R. PINKSTON, 31, Bardstown, trafficking in controlled substances, first-degree (less than 2 grams heroin); possession of drug paraphernalia (3 counts).

According to the indictment, on Dec. 3 and Dec. 15, 2014 and Jan. 14, 2015, Pinkston allegedly sold less than 2 grams of heroin to a confidential informant while in possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail was set at $20,000 cash only, plus conditions.

15-CR-253. ANTHONY S. SCROGHAM (aka BOOGIE SCROGHAM), 26, Chaplin, trafficking in controlled substances, first-degree (less than 2 grams methamphetamine) (2 counts); and trafficking in controlled substances, first-degree (less than 2 grams methamphetamine) and complicity to the same; possession of drug paraphernalia (2 counts); possession of drug paraphernalia and complicity to the same.

According to the indictment, on Feb. 2 and April 14, 2015, Scrogham allegedly sold less than 2 grams of methamphetamine to a confidential informant while in possession of drug paraphernalia. On Feb. 10, 2015, Scrogham – acting alone or in concert with Brittany Kimball – allegedly sold less than 2 grams of methamphetamine to a confidential informant while in possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail was set at $50,000 cash only, plus conditions.

15-CR-254. LINDA BRADY, 45, Boston, theft by failure to make required disposition of property, $500 or more.

According to the indictment, between June 26 and July 3, 2015, Brady allegedly cashed checks totaling $950 knowing they would not be honored. Bail was set at $9,500 cash only, plus conditions.

15-CR-255. BRITTANY M. KIMBALL, 27, Chaplin, complicity to trafficking in controlled substances, first-degree (2 or more grams methamphetamine); complicity to trafficking in controlled substances, first-degree (10 or more drug units of an unspecified drug); complicity to endangering the welfare of a minor (4 counts); complicity to possession of drug paraphernalia; complicity to possession of marijuana; complicity to possession of a prescription not in a proper container.

According to the indictment, on May 21, 2015, Kimball – acting alone or in concert with Anthony S. Scrogham – possessed methamphetamine and suboxone with the intent to sell or distribute it; possessed marijuana and drug paraphernalia; possessed a prescription not in its proper container; and failed to prevent four minor children from becoming neglected. Bail was set at $20,000.

15-CR-256. JOHNATHAN W. MONDAY, 24, Chaplin, assault, second-degree.

According to the indictment, on Aug. 20, 2015, Monday allegedly struck another person repeatedly in the face causing serious physical injury. Bail was set at $25,000 cash only, plus conditions.

15-CR- 257.  WILLIAM P. MCDONALD, 43, Boston, wanton endangerment, first-degree (2 counts).

According to the indictment, on Aug. 7, 2015, McDonald caused substantial danger of death or physical injury when he fired a pistol in the direction of two people. Bail was set at $9,500 cash only, plus conditions.

15-CR-258. DAVID LEACOX JR, 27, Bardstown, theft of the identity of another person without consent; theft by unlawful taking or disposition, all others under $500; unlawful access to a computer, third-degree.

According to the indictment on April 11, 2015, unlawfully used another person’s credit/debit card and accessed a computer network system to take less than $300 without authorization. Bail was set at $5,000 cash only, plus conditions.

15-CR-259. LEE E. RICHARDSON, 38, Bloomfield, criminal abuse, first-degree (3 counts).

According to the indictment, between March 1 and May 25, 2015, Richardson allegedly abused a minor under 12 years of age. Bail was set at $50,000 cash only, plus conditions.
