Obituary: J.D. Perkins, 24, Bardstown

J.D. Perkins, 24, of Bardstown, died Sunday, Sept. 6, 2015 at his residence. He was born Nov. 13, 1990, in Louisville. He loved hunting and having fun. He was a hard working person and you could count on a smile from him.

He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Eddie Perkins; and his great-grandmother, Theresa Lorine Pearl.

He is survived by his mother, Regina Smith of Shepherdsville; his father, Steve Perkins (Renee) of Loretto; one sister, Alexa York of Loretto; three brothers, Tim Noel of Shepherdsville, Zackery Perkins and Vincent Pigati, both of Bardstown; his aunt and uncle, Tim and Rhonda Perkins of Bardstown and his grandmother, Laverne Downs of Bardstown.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 10, 2015, at Barlow Funeral Home with burial in the St. Thomas Cemetery. Deacon Sam Filiatreau will officiate.

Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Wednesday Sept. 9, 2015, and 9-11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

The Barlow Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
