DR. JAMES HAYDON HAMILTON

Dr. James Haydon Hamilton, 72, of Nashville, Tenn., died Friday, Aug. 28, 2015, after an illness. He was a native of Bardstown, and Valedictorian of the St. Joseph Preparatory School Class of 1961. He was a summa cum laude graduate of Bellarmine College. He received his medical degree and residency in psychiatry from St. Louis University College of Medicine.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Margaret Hamilton; two sisters Michelle Hamilton and Maryjane Hamilton; and two brothers, Charles Bruce Hamilton and Joseph Hamilton.

He is survived by his wife, Stephanie; daughters Lauri (Larry) Kraft, and grandchildren Jamie and Jason of Minneapolis, Minn. and Amy Hamilton and granddaughter Sienna Hamilton-Thibert of Asheville, N.C.; four brothers, Leo (Jenny) Hamilton, John (Anne) Hamilton, Lawrence (Mary Ellyn) Hamilton and, Stephen (Sylvia) Hamilton, all of Bardstown; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service is 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 12, 2015, at the Basilica of St. Joseph Proto-Cathedral in Bardstown.
