Firefighters respond Tuesday for woods fire off Country Squire Lane

Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2015, 8 p.m. — The Nelson County Fire Department responded Tuesday at about 3:50 p.m. to the 100 block of Country Squire Lane for a reported woods fire. Firefighters arrived and confirmed that about one-quarter of an acre was involved in a fire that was extending into the woods. Firefighters were on the scene for about an hour to extinguish the blaze.
