Police chief: Bardstown Police Officer Nick Houck suspended with pay

Sept. 10, 2015, 12:25 p.m. — Bardstown Police Chief Rick McCubbin has suspended Bardstown Police Officer Nick Houck for unspecified reasons. Houck’s suspension is with pay.
A brief press release faxed to news media earlier today said there will be no additional comment from the department on the matter, and the release offered no explanation of the circumstances regarding Houck’s suspension.
Houck is the brother of Brooks Houck, who is the boyfriend of Crystal Rogers, the Bardstown woman who has been missing Friday, July 3, 2015. Brooks Houck was the last person who saw Rogers, whose disabled 2007 Chevrolet was found Sunday, July 5, 2015, abandoned on the Bluegrass Parkway.
Rogers was last seen Friday by her boyfriend. Her disabled car, a maroon 2007 Chevrolet, was found abandoned on the parkway, along with Rogers’ keys and personal belongings. Rogers is described as 35 years old, 5-foot-9 in height, 150 lbs with blonde shoulder-length hair.
