Obituary: Francis Spalding Taylor, 76, of Loretto,
Francis Spalding Taylor, 86, of Loretto, died Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2015, at Norton Brownsboro Hospital in Louisville. He was born June 11, 1939, in Washington County. He was a retired dairy farmer.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Virginia “Jeanie” Taylor; two sons, Frankie and Tony Taylor; his parents, Julian Patrick and Mary Catherine Spalding Taylor; and one sister, Emma Jean Mattingly.
Survivors include two daughters, Cathy Stinnett (Mickey) of Elizabethtown and Regina Lyvers (Robbie) of Loretto; two sons, Charles Kevin Taylor (Doris) of Lebanon and Travis Taylor of Loretto; two sisters, Elizabeth Bradshaw of Springfield and Carolyn Horrell (Jim) of Louisville; five grandchildren, Logan Clark, Amber Taylor, Tucker Lyvers, Anthony Hagan and Theresa Lyvers; and a special cousin, Mary Mudd of Springfield.
The Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 12, 2015, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 3560 North Saint Francis Road, Loretto with the Rev. Emil Kander officiating. Burial is in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 11, 2015, at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road in Loretto with a 7 p.m. prayer service with Deacon Joseph R. Dant.
The Mattingly Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
