Obituary: Donnie Lee Brown, 66, Bloomfield

Donnie Lee Brown, 66, of Bloomfield, died Sunday, Sept. 13, 2015, in New Albany Nursing & Rehabilitation in New Albany, Ind. He was born July 24, 1949, in Nelson County to Gene Ray and Lucy Jane Fulkerson Brown. He was a U.S. Army veteran, a farmer, and attended Bloomfield Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his father, Gene Ray Brown; and one son, Donovan Lee Brown.

He is survived by his wife, Donna Kay Martin Brown; one daughter, Donna Jo Brown (Anthony) Cunningham of Bloomfield; his mother, Lucy Jane Brown of Bloomfield; two brothers, Emmett (Brenda) Brown of Bardstown and Vernon (Sharon) Brown of Richmond; and one granddaughter, Kaylee Donovan Brown Cunningham.

Cremation was chosen by the family and a memorial service will be held at a later date.

The Houghlin Funeral Home of Bloomfield is in charge of arrangements.
