Dorothy Hamilton Norris, 72, of Bardstown, died Monday, Sept. 14, 2015, at her residence. She was born Feb. 1, 1943, in Marion County. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas “Arvin” Norris; one son, Chuck Norris; seven brothers, Bobby Hamilton, Jimmy Hamilton, Billy Hamilton, J.B. Hamilton, David Hamilton, Frankie Hamilton, and Terry Hamilton; and one sister, Libby Cahoe.
She is survived by two daughters, Lynn (Jason) Howard and Rosemary (Joe) Gant, both of Bardstown; one daughter-in-law, Mary Norris of New Hope; one sister, Nancy Lynn Thurman of Bardstown; two brothers, Charles Hamilton and Bruce Hamilton, both of Bardstown; 12 grandchildren, Melinda Norris, Christopher Norris, Brad Norris, Justin Smith, Andrew Smith, Derek Smith, Cody Gant, Jerica Gant, Megan Howard, Allie Howard, Grace Howard, and Emma Howard; and six great-grandchildren.
The Funeral Mass is 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 17, 2015, at the Basilica of St. Joseph Proto-Cathedral with burial in the church cemetery. The Rev. Jason Harris will officiate.
Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2015, and 10 a.m.-12:15 p.m. Thursday at Barlow Funeral Home.
