Ky. Headhunters headline Ky. Bourbon Festival’s ‘Music On the Lawn’ Saturday

Friday, Sept. 18, 2015 — The Grammy-winning Southern blues rockers The Kentucky Headhunters will headline the Kentucky Bourbon Festival’s “Music On the Lawn” in Bardstown Saturday, Sept. 19, 2015.
The Kentucky Headhunters will take the Kentucky Bourbon Festival stage at 10 p.m. The Music On The Lawn stage is located next to Spalding Hall at 220 N. Fifth St.
The Headhunters are celebrating the recent release of “Meet Me In Bluesland,” their previously unissued 2003 recording with their friend, the late legendary pianist and Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame inductee, Johnnie Johnson.
The Headhunters debuted with 1989’s “Pickin’ On Nashville,” released by Mercury Records. The album surprised the world and became a bona fide hit, selling over two million copies. The album earned the group a Grammy Award, three Country Music Awards, an American Music Award and an Academy Of Country Music Award. The album spawned four consecutive Top 40 Country hits.
The Kentucky Bourbon Festival Music On The Lawn stage will offer plenty of entertainment to festivalgoers. Prior to the Headhunters, Jeni Carr will take the stage at 5 p.m., followed by Kenney Warren & Whiskey Haze at 6:15 p.m.; Brandy Neelly at 7:30 p.m.; Johnny Berry & the Outliers at 8:45, followed by The Kentucky Headhunters at 10 p.m.
