Obituary: Robert Allen ‘Furnace’ Robey, 52, Louisville
Robert Allen “Furnace” Robey, 52, of Louisville, formerly of St. Francis, died Friday, Sept. 18, 2015, at his residence. He was born Oct. 15, 1962, in Louisville. He was a retired truck driver with Active Transportation in Louisville. He was an avid deer and rabbit hunter.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Sara Rita Wheatley Robey Mudd; his father, Robert A. “Bobbo” Robey; one niece, Christina Robey Smalley; and one brother-in-law, Johnny White.
Survivors include one daughter, Elizabeth Snyder of Indiana; one son, Jason Allen Robey of Louisville; his son’s mother, Jean Peters of Louisville; one stepdaughter, Michelle Peters (Stan) of Omaha, Neb.; two stepsons, Jamie Peters (Hayley) of Murfreesboro, Tenn., and Chipper Peters (Tessa) of Louisville; two sisters, Betty Mudd (Gary) and Lori Robey White, both of Louisville; three grandchildren, Makenzie Grace Browning, Molley Faith Browning and Logan Browning; two nieces, Sarah Robey and LeeAnn Weppler; two nephews, Austin Robey and Chris Brian Mudd (Rachel); two great-nieces, KayLee Mudd and Serenity Robey; two great-nephews Chance Robey and Johnny Robey; and a number stepgrandchildren.
The Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 21, 2015, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 6785 Highway 52, St. Francis with the Rev. Terry Bradshaw officiating. Burial is in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Sunday at the Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto, with a prayer service at 7 p.m. by Deacon Joseph R. Dant.
The Mattingly Funeral Home in Loretto is in charge of arrangements.
