Louisville man identified as victim of fatal Sunday morning crash

Monday, Sept. 21, 2015, 9 a.m. — The man who died in an accident Sunday morning on High Grove Road has been identified as Roger Clayton Hood, 65, of Louisville.
Hood was traveling eastbound on in the 8500 block of High Grove Road when his car left the roadway. He apparently overcorrected and lost control and his car spun across both lanes before coming to rest in a ditch. Nelson County EMS and law enforcement were dispatched at 9:23 a.m. to the area. Bystanders told Nelson County Dispatch the victim was apparently ejected from the vehicle. Hood was pronounced dead at the scene by the Nelson County coroner. The Northeast Nelson Fire Department responded to the crash scene to handle spilled vehicle fluids.
