Obituary: Sandra Dale ‘Sandy’ Hicks, 62, Bardstown

SANDRA DALE “SANDY” HICKS

Sandra Dale “Sandy” Hicks, 62, of Bardstown, died Sunday, September 20, 2015 at her home. She was the former Sandra Burns and was born Nov. 30, 1952, in Nelson County. She was a retired bus driver for Nelson County Schools and Bardstown City Schools, and was a member of the Little Union Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by one son, Justin Roby; her father, Curtis Burns; and her first husband, Charlie Roby.

She is survived by her husband, James K. “Ken” “Weasel” Hicks II; and several aunts and uncles.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 25, 2015, at Little Union Baptist Church with Bro. Will Sipes officiating. Burial is in the St. Thomas Cemetery.

Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 24, 2015, at the Houghlin Funeral Home in Bloomfield and 10-11 a.m. Friday at the church.

The Houghlin Funeral Home in Bloomfield is in charge of arrangements.
