Bardstown man arrested after failing to return car after a test drive

Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2015, 2:15 p.m. — Bardstown Police arrested a Bardstown man who allegedly test drove a vehicle from a local used car dealer and never returned it.
Cody R. Hendrickson, 29, of Bardstown, was charged for taking a silver 2000 Chevrolet Impala from Poor Boy’s Auto Sales, on Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2015, and never returning the vehicle.
Bardstown Police Officer Kyler Wright located the stolen Impala Tuesday morning at 11:22 on Owings Boulevard. Hendrickson was standing in the yard in front of the vehicle, and Officer Wright located personal items belonging to Hendrickson in the car, as well as marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Hendrickson was charged with theft by unlawful taking-auto, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was lodged in the Nelson County Jail.
