Obituary: Donald Snider Hardesty, 65, Bardstown

Donald Snider Hardesty, 65, of Bardstown, died Thursday, September 24, 2015, at Robley Rex VA Medical Center in Louisville. He was born Oct. 13, 1949, in Louisville. He was a member of Woodlawn United Methodist Church.

fun_angelHe was preceded in death by his father, Carl W. Hardesty; one brother-in-law, Christopher “Kippy” Hite; his paternal grandparents, Herbert and Mary Wylla Hardesty; and maternal grandparents, James and Edith Snider.

He is survived by two daughters, Rebecca Leigh Hardesty of Louisville and Carla Lynn Hardesty of Bardstown; his mother, Minnie Snider Hardesty of Bardstown; two sisters, Charlotte (Steve) McCowan of Lexington and Kathie Hardesty Hite of Bardstown; one brother, Richard “Rick” Hardesty of Tampa, Fla.; one niece, Katie McCowan; and three nephews, Chris Hite, Robert Hite, and Andrew (Shalena) Hite.

The funeral is 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 27, 2015, at Barlow Funeral Home with burial in the Poplar Flat Cemetery. The Rev. David Goodpasture and Rev. Jerry Pile will officiate.

Visitation is 11 a.m.-1:45 p.m. Sunday Sept. 27, 2015, at Barlow Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may go to the Poplar Flat Cemetery Fund.

Barlow Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
