Saturday, Sept. 26, 2015, 12:11 a.m. — An overturned tractor-trailer rig blocked both lanes of Louisville Road south of High Grove Friday night for nearly five hours.
At 6:37 p.m., Nelson County EMS, Nelson County Fire & Rescue, and the Nelson County Sheriff’s Office responded Friday for an overturned tractor-trailer on US31E in the 12500 block of Louisville Road. The accident was reported as a possible injury accident with entrapment. When first-responders arrived, the driver was out of the truck and did not require treatment or transport by EMS.
Police routed traffic around the crash while wreckers worked to right the semi. Firefighters stayed on scene to assist with mitigation of fluids that leaked from the damage truck once it was upright. The road department was asked to bring sand to spread on the road due to the motor oil on the road surface.
Louisville Road was reopened to traffic at about 11:30 p.m.
