EMS crews assist after medical helo makes emergency landing here

Saturday, Sept. 26, 2015, 12:20 a.m. — A busy Friday night for Nelson County EMS crews became a lot busier after an helicopter ambulance was forced to make an emergency landing at Samuels Field Friday evening. Nelson County EMS was dispatched to meet the helicopter crew at the airport and transport the patient they were carrying the rest of the way to the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington. EMS responded to the call at about 6:47 p.m.
