Nelson County firefighters respond for reported fire off Marks Lane

Saturday, Sept. 26, 2015, 12:30 a.m. — Nelson County Fire & Rescue were dispatched for a possible field fire near Marks Lane after a Lookout Court resident spotted flames from his residence. Firefighters responded to the report at 8:13 p.m. Firefighters determined the fire was a controlled burn on Shumate Lane that had not been called in to Nelson County Dispatch. Firefighters were on the scene for about 15 minutes.
