Obituary: Edna Louise Harris Brown, 69, Eminence
Edna Louise Harris Brown, 69, of Eminence, formerly of Lebanon Junction, died Friday, Sept. 25, 2015. She was a cook a the Chat ‘N’ Nibble Restaurant and a member of Mount Carmel Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her father, Theodore Harris; one brother, James Theodore Harris; a nephew, James Vernon Harris; and her husband, James Edward Brown.
Survivors include her four daughters, Jackie Thompson (David) of Springfield, Rebecca Goodman (Raymond) of Pleasureville, Kimberly Lewis (Mark) of Springfield and Glina Ahmed Eid of Eminence; her mother, Edna Karr Harris of Lebanon Junction; one sister, Kathy Harris of Lebanon Junction; one brother, Donald Harris of Lebanon Junction; 16 brothers and sisters-in-law; 33 nieces and nephews; 16 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and her special companion of 23 years, Darryl Wayne Payton and his mother, Ms. Payton.
The funeral is 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2015, at the Kappel Funeral Home in Lebanon Junction with burial in the Mount Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Monday Sept. 28, 2015, noon-8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2015, and 9-11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
The Kappel Funeral Home in Lebanon Junction is in charge of the arrangements.
