Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2015, 8:30 p.m. — Two men riding a motorcycle were arrested by Bardstown Police Monday after they were observed passing on a double yellow line at a high rate of speed on North Third Street.

At about 8:30 p.m., Bardstown Police Officer Reece Riley saw the motorcycle and turned to pursue it. Riley located the motorcycle after it wrecked at the Court Square in front of the Old Courthouse. Its operator, Joshua O’Bryan, 33, of Nicholasville, was attempting to upright the motorcycle while his passenger, Larry Cornett, 41, of Shepherdsville looked on.

During the investigation, O’Bryan attempted to flee on foot, but was caught and arrested by Riley. He was charged with reckless driving; improper passing; operating on a suspended license; no operators/moped license; and resisting arrest.

Cornett was arrested on an active arrest warrant from Bullitt County. Both men were lodged in the Nelson County Jail.
