Firefighters respond for Balltown Road garage fire Wednesday

Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2015, 9:30 a.m. — A garage was consumed in a fire Wednesday morning at a home in the 400 block of Balltown Road. Nelson County Fire & Rescue was dispatched for a active structure fire at a little after 7 a.m. this morning. The garage was fully involved in flames when first-responders arrived. Firefighters had control of fire in about 20 minutes. Firefighters were on the scene for about 90 minutes.
