LOIS JEAN MARIE JOHNSON

Lois Jean Marie Johnson, 71, of Bardstown, died Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2015, at Flaget Memorial Hospital. She was born on March 30, 1944, in Erie, Penn., to the late Oscar and Kathleen Lynn Sandstrom. She was a retired educator at Bethlehem High School and St. Joseph School. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

She is survived by one son, Eric Johnson of Bardstown; three sisters, Lynn McNeal of Nicholasville, Kathleen Clark of Bardstown and Candice Searcy of Decatur, Ala.; and several nieces and nephews.

The Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 9, 2015, at the Basilica of St. Joseph Proto-Cathedral with the Rev. Jason Harris officiating. Burial is in the church cemetery.

Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 8, 2015, and after 8:30 a.m. Friday at the Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home with a prayer service Thursday evening.

The family requests expressions of sympathy be made in form of contributions to the American Red Cross or Disabled American Veterans.

The Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home, 1475 New Shepherdsville Road, Bardstown in charge of arrangements.
