Nelson County Circuit Court Indictments, Oct. 7, 2015

indictmentWednesday, Oct. 7, 2015 – The following people were indicted by a Nelson County grand jury on Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2015. They are scheduled for arraignment Thursday, Oct. 22, 2015, unless otherwise indicated.

15-CR-282. JAMES W. GIRDLEY JR., 30, Bardstown, burglary, second-degree;
criminal trespassing, second-degree; public intoxication; criminal mischief, third-degree; disorderly conduct, second-degree.

According to the indictment, on Sept. 26, 2015, Girdley allegedly entered or remained in another person’s residence with the intent to commit a crime, damaging property under $500 in value in the process. The indictment states Girdley was under the influence of intoxicating substances when he appeared in a public place and engaged in threatening behavior. Bail was set at $9,500 cash only, plus conditions.

15-CR-283. MICHAEL WALKER, 45, Cox’s Creek, fleeing and evading police, first-degree; possession of controlled substances, first-degree (drug unspecified); operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol/drugs/etc.; reckless driving;

According to the indictment, on Sept. 18, 2015, Walker allegedly operated a motor vehicle with the intent to flee for police while operating a motor vehicle recklessly and under the influence of alcohol or other intoxicating substance while in possession of cocaine. Bail was set at $9,500 cash only, plus conditions.
