Obituary: Patricia Jean ‘Patty’ Keeling, 74, Nazareth

PATRICIA JEAN “PATTY” KEELING

Patricia Jean “Patty” Keeling, 74, of Nazareth, died Friday, Oct. 9, 2015, at her son’s residence. She was the former Patricia Jean Beeler, born Dec. 16, 1940, in Jeffersonville, Ind., to the late Navy and Susanna Troxell Beeler. She was a babysitter and homemaker, a member of Little Union Baptist Church, a member of the Taylorsville Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 366, and a participant of the Tree of Life.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, James “Navy” Beeler.

She is survived by two daughters, Susanna Jean Thornton of Mansfield, Texas, Janice Keeling of Cox’s Creek; two sons, Chuck Keeling of Cox’s Creek and Billy Dean Keeling of Bardstown; two sisters, Barbara “Bobbie” Keeling of Nazareth and Brenda Goodlett of Shelbyville; one half-sister, Judy Marie Beeler of Knoxville, Tenn.; one half-brother, Kenneth Ray Beeler of Alcoa, Tenn.; nine grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 12, 2015, at the Houghlin Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Bro. Bobby Jewell officiating. Burial is in the Little Union Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 11, 2015, at the funeral home.

The Houghlin Funeral Home of Bloomfield is in charge of arrangements.
