Teens injured late Saturday in ATV crash on Eddie Miles Road

Sunday, Oct. 11, 2015, 1 30 a.m. — Two 16-year-old boys were injured Saturday night in an ATV accident on Eddie Miles Road near its intersection with Jim Clark Road. Nelson County EMS, New Hope Fire and the Nelson County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched at 10:45 p.m. for the single vehicle crash. A firefighter on the scene reported the ATV apparently struck a deer. One teen complained of head pain, head cuts and abrasions on his body, the second teen complained of shoulder pain and assorted abrasions. EMS transported both to Flaget Memorial Hospital for evaluation and treatment.
