Bardstown Police arrest New Haven man on rape, sodomy charges

Monday, Oct. 12, 2015 — A New Haven man was arrested Monday and charged with rape and sodomy following an investigation by the Bardstown Police Department.

Police opened an investigation Thursday, Oct. 8, 2015, regarding a woman who had been raped and sodomized on Tuesday, Oct. 6 sometime between 2 and 5 a.m.
Owen Lee “Peetie” Maddox, 37, of New Haven, was arrested Monday and charged with first-degree rape and first-degree sodomy. He was lodged in the Nelson County Jail. At the time of his arrested, police say Maddox admitted to the sodomy charge.
