Obituary: Carl Lee Chesser Sr., 74, Bardstown

CARL LEE CHESSER

Carl Lee Chesser Sr., 74, of Bardstown, died Sunday, Oct. 11, 2015, in Bardstown. He was born on March 21, 1941, in Taylorsville to the late Earl Lee and Lydia Evelyn Frazier Chesser. He was a retired employee of Thoroughbred Containers and a former farmer. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He loved to walk thru Bardstown and was affectionately known as the town walker.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Ann Nalley Chesser; and one son, Carl Lee Chesser Jr.

He is survived by two sons, Henry Chesser and Roy (Brenda) Chesser, both of Bardstown;

four daughters, Debbie Martin of Bardstown and Tina Chesser, both of Bardstown, Kay (Jimmy) Curtsinger of Cox’s Creek and Kathy Chesser of Boston; special love, Sharon Bunch Hutchins of Bardstown; one sister, Joyce Sharp of Taylorsville; three brothers, William Earl (Marie) Chesser of Taylorsville, Melvin Chesser of Fairfield and
Kenneth Chesser of Bardstown; 14 grandchildren; and 28 great grandchildren.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 15, 2015, at Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home with burial in the St. Joseph Cemetery. The Rev. Jason Harris and Bro. Tom Sparrow will officiate.

Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2015, at the Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home, 1475 New Shepherdsville Road in Bardstown.

The Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
