New Hope Fire, EMS respond to structure fire reported in New Hope

Sunday, May 8, 2011, 5:17 p.m. — The New Hope Fire Department and Nelson County EMS were called to 220 Shirley Drive in New Hope for a fully-involved fire involving a home. There are other homes nearby the structure. The fire was reported about 5:15 p.m.

5:19 p.m. — New Hope requests mutual aid from the Rolling Fork Fire Department in form of a tanker truck.

5:34 p.m. — New Hope asks dispatchers to request a tanker truck from Loretto Fire as mutual aid.

5:49 p.m. — A representative of the American Red Cross is en route to assist homeowners with immediate shelter needs and provide rehab for firefighters who are battling the fire.
