PAULINE MARIE CURTSINGER

Pauline Marie Curtsinger, 78, of Bloomfield, was granted her angel wings Friday, Oct. 16, 2015, at Life Care Center of Bardstown. Her final days were spent surrounded by those she loved most — her family and friends. She was born Sept. 28, 1937, in Marion County to the late Albert and Anna Marie Newton. She grew up in a loving home and was the oldest of nine siblings. She soon found love of her own and married Clarence Curtsinger on April 28, 1956.

She was a former employee of Jim Beam Distillery, a member of St. Michael Catholic Church in Fairfield where she served as a Eucharistic minister and helped with CCD classes and the youth groups. She was very family oriented and lived for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was an amazing cook and a fan of the Kentucky Wildcats. She loved traveling with her husband, playing bunco and going to Horseshoe Casino.

Her family will miss her phone calls and “Happy Birthday and Happy Anniversary” songs. She would always call and sing; she never forgot. She always found a way to make you smile. Her family will always cherish the memories they have of her. Although she will be greatly missed, Pauline’s legacy of kindness, generosity and love will live on through her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by one son, Greg Curtsinger; two sisters, Brenda Sue Newton and Susan Mattingly; and two brothers, Carl Newton and David Newton.

She is survived by her husband, Clarence Curtsinger; two daughters, Cindy Fowler of Bardstown and Missy (Ronnie) Trent of Bloomfield; four sons, Wayne (Connie) Curtsinger and Bruce (Jean) Curtsinger, both of Bardstown, Jeff (Nora) Curtsinger and Denny (Brittney) Curtsinger, both of Bloomfield; three sisters, Mary Ann (Freddy) Willett, Nancy Mattingly and Judy Satterly, all of Bardstown; one brother, Jerry (Linda) Newton of Loretto; 19 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.

The Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 19, 2015, at St. Michael Catholic Church in Fairfield with the Rev. Jason Harris celebrant. Burial is in the St. Joseph Cemetery in Bardstown.

Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 18, 2015, and after 8 a.m. Monday, at the Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home, 1475 New Shepherdsville Road in Bardstown with a prayer service 6 p.m. Sunday.
