Obituary: Norma Jean Streble Fowler, 74, Shepherdsville

Norma Jean Streble Fowler, 74, of Shepherdsville, died Friday, Oct. 16, 2015, at University Hospital in Louisville. She was an avid University of Kentucky fan and enjoyed pull tabs at Catholic picnics. She was a retired cashier for the Davis Brothers Truck Stop, a member of First Baptist funeral_angelChurch in Lebanon Junction and loved her family and family gatherings.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Thomas Fowler; one son, Shawn Fowler; and her parents, Russell and Bessie Wells Streble.

Survivors include two sisters, Mary Lou Hackett of Shepherdsville and Wilma Bartley of Eminence; two brothers, Raymonda (Norma) Streble and Billy (Bettie) Streble, both of Lebanon Junction; and 14 nieces and nephews.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2015, at the Kappel Funeral Home with burial in the Lebanon Junction City Cemetery.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the First Baptist Church of Lebanon Junction Food Pantry.

Visitation is 1-8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 19, 2015, and after 9 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

The Kappel Funeral Home in Lebanon Junction is in charge of the arrangements.
