Obituary: Eula Faye Burns, 86, Springfield
Eula Faye Burns, 86, of Springfield, died at 10 p.m., Friday, Oct. 16, 2015, at the home of her daughter in Mount Washington. She was a native of Washington County, born Feb. 19, 1929, to the late Fred and Lula Chesser Grigsby. She was a member of the Temple Baptist Church and a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Carl Parsons; her second husband, Herbert Parsons; four sisters, Mary Zukas, Narval Wimsatt, Kay Rhoades and Dorothy Bradley; and two brothers, David Grigsby and James Grigsby.
Survivors include one daughter, Alice Grigsby (Calvin) of Mount Washington; four sisters, Ruella King and Joetta Grimes, both of Bardstown, Geneva Reddicks of Lexington and Eleanor Curtsinger (Melvin) of Springfield; three brothers, Harold Grigsby (Patsy) and Earl Grigsby (Wilma), both of Springfield and Richard Grigsby (Pat) of Willisburg; one grandson, Tony Grigsby; and one great-grandchild, Josie Grigsby.
The funeral is 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2015, at the Carey & Son Funeral Home with the Rev. John McDaniel officiating. Burial is in the New Hope Cemetery.
Visitation is 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
The Carey & Son Funeral Home in Springfield is in charge of arrangements.
