New Hope man hurt after vehicle crashes into bourbon warehouse

Sunday, Oct. 18, 2015 — A New Hope man was injured Saturday afternoon when his car ran off Loretto Road and hit a whiskey warehouse near the intersection with Gilkey Run Road at Heaven Hill Brands.
Nelson County Fire & Rescue, Nelson County EMS and the Nelson County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched at 4:54 p.m. Saturday for the injury crash. The Bardstown Fire Department provided additional support to rescue the victim, who was identified at Paul Edlin, 41.
Edlin was transported by EMS to Flaget Memorial Hospital where a waiting medical helicopter flew him to University Hospital for treatment of his injuries.
