Springfield man indicted on incest, sodomy, sex abuse charges

Thursday, Nov. 5, 2015, 2 p.m. — A Washington County man was indicted Wednesday by a Nelson County grand jury on charges of sexual relations with a relative.

LONGACRE

Samuel D. Longacre, 26, of Springfield, faces charges of incest, third-degree sodomy, first-degree sexual abuse and being a persistent felony offender. The charges follow an investigation by Bardstown Police detective Jon Snow.

According to the indictment, Longacre allegedly engaged in deviate sexual intercourse with a family member who was under 16 years of age. The indictment cites Longacre’s prior felony conviction as basis for the persistent felony offender charge. Bail was set at $50,000 cash only, plus conditions.

Longacre will be arraigned in Nelson Circuit Court on Thursday, Nov. 19, 2015.
