Obituary: Gary Wade ‘Hollywood’ Wheeler, 64, Sonora
Gary Wade “Hollywood” Wheeler, 64, of Sonora, went to be his Heavenly Father Saturday, Nov. 14, 2015, surrounded by his family. He was a great husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and friend. He will be sadly missed by those who loved and knew him. He loved working with his hands. He retired from Modern Welding and continued to work at Crop Production in Glendale. He was born Sept. 9, 1951, to L.D. and Delores Gibson Wheeler.
He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Jocelyn Kay Jackson.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce Hall Wheeler of Sonora; his parents; one daughter, Tera Lee Thompson of Sonora; two sons, Patrick Wade (Michelle) Wheeler of Upton and Justin Kyle (Ashley) Jackson; two sisters, Debbie (Carlos) Tucker and Julie Wheeler Houk, both of Sonora; one brother, Charles (Alice) Wheeler of Hodgenville; six grandchildren, Kyle, Keria, Chase, Tanner, Auston and Ashlyn; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; and best friend Lanny Highbaugh of Sonora.
In keeping with his wishes, cremation was chosen. There will be a private gathering at a later date.
The William R. Rust Funeral Home Hodgenville Chapel, 612 N. Lincoln Blvd, Hodgenville, is in charge of the arrangements.
