Obituary: Shirley Ann Frye, 66, Shepherdsville

Shirley Ann Frye, 66, of Shepherdsville, died Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2015, at the Norton Women’s and Kosair Children’s Hospital in Louisville. She was born October 18, 1949, in Louisville. She was a homemaker and a Baptist by faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Irvin T. and Narvel Blanche Grigsby Wimsatt; and one brother, Gene Wimsatt.

Survivors include four daughters, Shirley Davis (David) of Hillview, Kathy Allen (Johnny) of New Haven, Michele Frye of Shepherdsville and Cora Rogers (Vince) of Louisville; two sons, John Frye Jr. of Louisville and Oscar Frye (Kathy) of New Haven; 17 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, 2015, at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road in Loretto. Burial is in the Holy Rosary Cemetery at Manton. Bro. Bob Dugan will officiate.

Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 20, 2015, at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Vince Rogers, John Allen, Jesse Landes, Mike Davis, Charlie Davis and James Landes.

The Mattingly Funeral Home in Loretto is in charge of the arrangements.
