Obituary: Larry Gayle Slaughter, 66, New Haven

LARRY GAYLE SLAUGHTER

Larry Gayle Slaughter, 66, of New Haven, formerly of Bardstown, died Saturday, Nov. 21, 2015, at his home in New Haven. He was born on Nov. 14, 1949, in Louisville. He was a retired facility tech for AT&T, past president of Kentucky Motorcycle Association of Bardstown Chapter and a U.S. Navy veteran.

He was preceded in death by his father, Wert Clarence Slaughter Jr.; and one brother, Randall “Dale” Slaughter.

He is survived by his mother, Catherine Richards Slaughter of Louisville; one daughter, Daria L. (Brian) Taylor of Louisville; two sons, Travis (Sara) Slaughter of Louisville and Andy Slaughter of Bardstown; one sister, Marilyn Flint of Louisville; and one granddaughter, Ashley Slaughter.

A remembrance service is 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2015, at the Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home, 1475 New Shepherdsville Road, Bardstown.

The Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
