Obituary: Charlie Linton, 81, Bardstown

Charlie Linton, 81, of Bardstown, died Saturday, Nov. 28, 2015, at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown. He was born Sept. 10, 1934, in Nelson County. He was retired from Bird Vinyl and was a member of Local Union 89. He was a member of Mount Moriah Baptist Church in Boston.

funeral_flowerHe was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Linton; his parents, Steve and Mary Willie Hughes Linton; one brother, Steve Linton Jr.; and one grandson, Hunter Marks.

He is survived by three daughters, Lisa Woolum of Grove City, Ohio, Denise (Neal) Pyle of Cox’s Creek and Crystal (Todd) Downs of New Haven; one son, Glenn (Becky) Linton of Bardstown; one sister, Laverne Wiseman of Boston; one brother, Terry Linton of Boston; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2015, at Barlow Funeral Home with burial in the Bardstown Cemetery. Chaplain Terry Troutman will officiate.

Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 30, 2015, and 9-11 a.m. Tuesday Dec. 1, 2015, at the funeral home.

The Barlow Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
