Nelson County Circuit Court Indictments, Nov. 4, 2015

indictmentSunday, Nov. 29, 2015 – The following people were indicted by a Nelson County grand jury on Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2015. They were arraigned Thursday, Nov. 19, 2015, unless otherwise indicated.

 

15-CR-302. ALTON R. BRADY, 23, Bardstown, burglary, second-degree and complicity to the same; theft by unlawful taking, all others under $500 and complicity to the same; possession of drug paraphernalia and complicity to the same.

According to the indictment, between Sept. 11-12, 2015, Brady — acting alone or in concert with Brandon M. Breeden — allegedly entered the home of another person with the intent to commit a crime, taking a 16-foot cattle gate and metal door having a value of less than $500 while in possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail was set at $9,500 cash only, plus conditions.

15-CR-303. KELLY M. VANWINKLE, 48, Bardstown, trafficking in controlled substances, second-degree (less than 20 drug units of an unspecified Schedule III drug).

According to the indictment, on July 8, 2014, Vanwinkle allegedly sold hydrocodone to a confidential informant. Bail was set at $5,000 cash only, plus conditions.

15-CR-304. SAMUEL D. LONGACRE, 26, Springfield, incest, under 18 years of age; sodomy, third-degree; sexual abuse, first-degree; persistent felony offender, second-degree.

According to the indictment, between June and July 2015, Longacre engaged in deviate sexual intercourse with a family member who was under 16 years of age. The indictment cites Longacre’s prior felony conviction as basis for the persistent felony offender charge. Bail was set at $50,000 cash only, plus conditions.

15-CR-305. MICHAEL PAUL WILLIE LEE COLLINS, 23, Manchester, burglary, first-degree; theft by unlawful taking/disposition-firearm (2 counts); theft by unlawful taking.

According to the indictment, on July 9, 2015, Collins allegedly entered another person’s residence and took a North American .22 pistol and Kimber Pro Carry HD2 .45 semi-automatic pistol, 47-inch TV, three laptops, and a Blu Ray DVD player having a combined value of more than $500 but less than $10,000. Bail was set at $25,000 cash only, plus conditions.

15-CR-306. BRANDON M. BREEDEN, 27, Bardstown, burglary, second-degree and complicity to the same; theft by unlawful taking/disposition, all others and complicity to the same; possession of drug paraphernalia and complicity to the same.

According to the indictment, between Sept. 11-12, 2015, Breeden — acting alone or in concert with Alton R. Brady — allegedly entered the home of another person with the intent to commit a crime, taking a 16-foot cattle gate and metal door having a value of less than $500 while in possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail was set at $9,500 cash only, plus conditions.

15-CR-307. TIFFANY G. THOMPSON, 29, Bardstown, unlawful access to a computer, first-degree (27 counts); theft by unlawful taking or disposition, all others under $500.

According to the indictment, between March 14-July 13, 2015, Thompson allegedly
used Talbott Tavern customers’ ATM and debit cards to obtain money without authorization 27 times and taking a total of less than $500 Bail was set at $9,500 cash only, plus conditions.

15-CR-308. CHRISTOPHER D. TANNER, 39, Bardstown, flagrant non-support.

According to the indictment, between Dec. 19, 2014 through Oct. 23, 2015, Tanner allegedly failed to provide support he was ordered to pay, resulting in an arrearage of $4,160.50. Bail was set at $5,000 cash only, plus conditions.

15-CR-309. JAMES NICHOLS, 35, Loretto, sexual abuse, first-degree (defendant over 21, victim under 16); unlawful transaction with a minor, third-degree; persistent felony offender, second-degree.

According to the indictment between Nov. 7-8, 2014, Nichols allegedly engaged in sexual contact with another person under 16 years of age and either gave, purchased or procured alcohol for a minor. The indictment cites Nichols’ previous felony conviction as basis for the persistent felony offender charge. Bail was set at $9,500 cash only, plus conditions.
