Grand jury indicts Bloomfield man for murder of Rasheed Wickliffe

Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2015 — The Bloomfield man arrested Tuesday and charged with murder in the stabbing death of a Bardstown man was indicted Wednesday by a Nelson County Grand Jury.

Alexander Cole Roberts, 18, was indicted for murder and tampering with physical evidence. He is being held in the Nelson County Jail on a $1 million cash bond.

According to the indictment, Roberts allegedly stabbed Rasheed Javon Wickliffe in the neck Tuesday morning, resulting in Wickliffe’s death in front of the Bloomfield Post Office. Roberts also allegedly tried to dispose of or conceal a knife in order to impair its availability to the police investigation.

Roberts will be arraigned Thursday, Dec. 17, in Nelson Circuit Court.
